For insurance purposes all drivers should be aged between 25 - 70 to be able to hire our vehicles. You should also check your driving licence to check which category of vehicle you are entitled to drive, especially if you wish to hire a minibus or 7.5T truck.
All drivers must have held a full licence for a minimum of 12 months which covers the relevant vehicle groups.
A PSV is not required, but your allocated driver must have group D1 on their licence.
A driving licence (photo card and paper section) plus two further forms of identification/proof of address. These can be in the form of a credit card, utility bill or bank statement but they must be no older than three months. Your name and address must also match the personal details on the driver's licence.
Yes, but an additional drivers charge will be made and they must be present at the vehicle collection and present their driver's licence.
We operate a same tank policy. This means that a reading will be taken of the fuel tank level when the vehicle is picked up and must be returned with the same fuel level as previously recorded.
Yes on certain vehicles only, subject to prior arrangement with the branch, additional insurance, breakdown cover and a revision to the tariff. Please contact your local branch directly if you wish to take a vehicle abroad.
You are responsible for any fines that you receive. Burnt Tree cannot accept any responsibility for fines incurred whilst the vehicle is on hire to you.
