Burnt Tree Invests £3million in Leeds

Burnt Tree Invests £3million in Leeds

Nationwide vehicle hire company Burnt Tree is investing more than £3million and creating five new jobs in Leeds with the opening of a new branch at National Road on Hunslet Business Park on 1st September.

Leeds will be Burnt Tree’s 17th branch and although the company already has a good presence in the northern half of the country, including depots in Manchester and Sheffield, Leeds has long been a priority for the Group, which last year had a turnover of £35million.

Leeds based Russell Taylor who has 14 years experience in the rental sector has been appointed as the branch’s General Manager. “He said: "Burnt Tree has ambitious growth targets for the next five years and the opening of a branch in Leeds is central to these plans. We’ve been searching for the right premises for some time and believe Hunslet Business Park gives us the scope to expand as we business develops."

The company has already picked up a number of prestigious customers before the branch opens from both the private and public sector.

The Burnt Tree Group which runs more than 8,000 vehicles is unique in the industry in terms of the range it provides including cars, HGV tractor units, accessible minibuses, vans and cranes; and it is this diversity which company bosses believe will stand it in good stead in the current business climate. While some sectors have noted a downturn in business with the credit crunch, Burnt Tree is reporting a buoyant first half to the year with demand for vehicles, especially in Yorkshire remaining high.
